A couple weeks back I got to catch up with all my old mates out in Colorado while we celebrated The Falc's nuptuals.   When I got back I was feeling a little sentimental and depressed.   It was an awesome time but not long enough and I soon missed them.

I was in my basement and started flicking through my records.   The needle on my turntable was broken so I couldn't unleash any of the tunes.

When I got to At Fillmore East I could hear the opening riff of "Statesboro Blues" blaring from my speakers.   Immediatly I was taken back to my old college pad The Castle and getting high (on life of course) and having a blast with my mates.   It has to be impossible to listen to this song and not feel good.

This is one of those songs that makes me feel so fully alive and reinforces my conviction that it's great to be alive.
